Forever 21 Haul: Clothing, Jewelry, Misc

I have to admit when I am shopping at my local mall I very rarely venture into Forever 21. The truth I never used to fit into their clothes! About a month ago I was walking around the mall and decided to go in a try some clothes on to see if I had any luck. I actually did find a few pieces I like that fit me well. In this post I'm using the website stock photos because I couldn't get and good pictures of the clothes. I also picked up a few jewelry pieces and some miscellaneous goodies from those displays they have while you are waiting to checkout. I always fall for those! What do you think of my picks? Let me know what are some of your favorite things to purchase from Forever 21.

OOTD #1

Hello everyone! Welcome to my first outfit of the day post. I love ootd posts! I was always hesitant to post one of my own though. I think it was mostly due to a lack of confidence on my part. Recently I have been eating healthier and working out more consistently. That has really helped me to build my confidence and self worth. I feel like a whole new person! But I digress, let's get on with the outfit. I would say the feature of this look is definitely the navy/white striped cropped blazer. I recently purchased this at H&M for $49.95. The white top I'm wearing underneath is an old tank from Jcpenney. The pants are by Vigoss. I recently purchased them from Nordstrom Rack. The nude faux suede wedges are by Nine West (old). The anchor necklace is from Forever 21 and the silver watch is by Michael Kors.

Face:

CoverGirl 3 in 1 foundation in Golden Tan
MAC mineralized concealer NC42
Benefit Gimme Brow in Medium/Deep
Wet n Wild gel liner in black noir
Loreal Voluminous Butterfly Mascara

Quick Update

I have decided to relaunch my food blog today. I've been cooking and eating a lot of healthy meals recently. I started posting them on this beauty blog but I don't want to bombard all the beauty enthusiasts out there with food posts. So far my food and recipe posts have been the most popular on Pinterest. If you are interested in food posts make sure to follow my food blog Izzybelleeats.blogspot.com (here)

Healthy Low Fat Vegan Pizza Recipe

I had a huge craving for pizza today! I decided to make my own healthy version though because my day 30 of the Herbalife health plan is coming up this week. So far I've lost 11 lbs! I made a low fat vegan pizza and served it with a simple arugula salad and champagne pear vinaigrette dressing from Trader Joe's. The finished pizza has 8 slices and each slice has about 130 calories.

What You Will Need:

-Premade Whole Wheat Pizza Dough (or you can make your own at home)
-1/4 cup Fat Free Pizza Sauce
-Toppings of Choice:Sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms,Sliced Baby Yellow and Red Bell Peppers,Sliced  Red Onion,Fresh Basil

What To Do:

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Stretch out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface. You can use your hands to do this but I find it works best with a rolling pin. Once you've shaped the dough place it on a baking sheet. You can spray the sheet with coconut oil spray to prevent the dough from sticking if you like. Now you can assemble the pizza. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough. Next add the toppings. Bake the pizza in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove the pizza from the baking sheet and bake it directly on the oven rack for an additional 5 minutes. This step ensures the crust gets nice and crispy. The final step is to slice it up and serve it!

This pizza was really tasty. It's dairy free, low fat,and low sodium. Perfect for when you are craving pizza but still want to stick with eating healthy meals.

Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. Clutch

Ok I have to confess I'm not much of a handbag collector. In fact before I purchased this one I've only owned two others. A Michael Kors luggage shoulder bag and a Badgley Mischka black leather satchel. I've been wanting to purchase a Rebecca Minkoff M.A.C. clutch for over a year. I wanted to get the black one because I figured it would be the most versatile color. I could have easily ordered it from the website but I'm not one to pay full price for designer merchandise. I love a good bargain! But who doesn't really? I like to shop for designer handbags at stores like Nordstrom Rack, Last Call Neiman Marcus, and Off Saks Fifth Avenue. The other day while browsing around in Off Saks Fifth Avenue I spotted this bag. It really stood out to me. I love the Slate Blue color as I think it's the perfect spring and summer shade. Its a subtle pop of color for those of us who are not into rocking the bright neon shades. I love the way the blue pairs with the silver hardware. The chain strap is versatile as well it can be double to shorten it or removed all together. The top zipper closure is perfect for easily getting things in and out of the bag. The size of this is ideal also. It's big enough to fit all of the essentials like a wallet, sunglasses, cellphone, and a small makeup bag. It's definitely a nice change from hauling around big overfilled handbags that hurt your shoulders. So far I've been loving this bag! Did I mention that I got a good deal on it with and extra 30% off. These bags usually retail for around $295. If you've ever gotten a good deal on designer goodies let me know what you found.

Preparing Healthy Dinners for the Week

Disclaimer: This post has nothing to do with makeup and everything to do with healthy eating.

About two and a half weeks ago I started the Herbalife nutrition plan. I wanted to get healthy and lose some weight. So far I've lost about 7 lbs! Part of the plan is to prep nutritious meals for the week. It is so much easier to spend a couple of hours each week prepping all your meals than having to cook everyday. I always have fun cooking though. It's one of my favorite things to do. In this post I thought I would share some examples of what I make for the week.

Here is an example of a typical dinner : Grilled marinated chicken, sautéed asparagus, and cilantro lime rice

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil What a Blast! And Lady Danger LipstickSwatches and Pictures

Hello everyone!
I can't believe it's been over a week since my last post. I've been busy the last week with work. But anyways I'm back and today I'm bringing you some pictures and swatches of some Mac lip products I purchased a couple of days ago. I went to the MAC Store with the intention of purchasing Morange lipstick. I wanted a bright shade for spring/summer this year and I thought that shade would be perfect. I've been in a summer mood since the weather here has been around 90 degrees. As I was browsing the lipsticks Lady Danger stood out to me. I thought the shade was beautiful and I tried it on. I think the bright color suits my skin tone well. I'm an NC42/NC44. Lady Danger is a Matte orange red lipstick that is not to dry and goes on smoothly. I shows up more orange on me than red-orange. It has excellent pigmentation. The associate that was helping me suggest a lip liner to go with the lipstick. She brought me the Pro Longwear lip pencil in What a Blast! Such a cute name, right? So naturally I had to get. It's a bright orange lip pencil that is a perfect base for Lady Danger lipstick. Check out all the pictures below and let me know what you think. I would also love to know what your go to spring/summer shades are. If you have any questions or requests for me feel free to email me at izzybellebeauty@gmail.com. Hope you all have a fantastic week!

The Body Shop Haul and Swatches

Today I thought I'd share with you some items I purchased from The Body Shop. They have a sale in stores buy three get two free on skincare and makeup. But if you prefer to shop online they are having 40% off site wide.

I own most of their seaweed skincare line. I really love the mattifying day cream and night time clearing treatment. If you look back at my
first blog post I reviewed the seaweed products in depth. I've been wanting to pick up  the Seaweed Iconic Clay Mask to complete my
set of products. This is a weekly mask that is best suited for those with oily to combination skin. I have really oily skin and the seaweed products are effective for oil control.

Urban Decay Vintage 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil Swatches

Hi everyone! I have more swatches for you today. I purchased these Urban Decay Vintage 27/7 Glide-On Lip Liners on sale for $5 each. I bought these along with the Dangerous Palette featured in my previous post. I chose the shades Wicked and Naked. Wicked is a soft shimmery pink shade and Naked is a soft rosey nude shade. These lip pencils are some of the softest liners I've ever tried. They don't look cakey or dry. They are long wearing and waterproof. Stay tuned for future face of the day posts featuring all of my recent beauty purchases.

Urban Decay Dangerous Palette Swatches

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a lovely day. Today is watched the Urban Decay Dangerous palette. I purchased this on their website in the sale section for only twelve bucks! They had have the Dangerous palette and Feminine palette still in stock. I regret not getting the feminine palette as well. I chose the Dangerous palette because I wanted brighter eyeshadow colors. I always tend to stick to neutrals like the Naked palettes, I thought this was a good choice because it is a nice mix of neutral and bold shades that can be used to create a number of different looks. This palette is a perfect size for travel. It also has a convenient zipper case. One thing to note is that all of the shades in this palette are shimmery. The shades Deeper and Ace were also both featured in the 15 year anniversary palette.
